Photo Inspection for Insurance Geico, Progressive, where do I

In NY State inspections may be required by your insurance company from time to time. For many reasons the photo insurance inspection may need to be updated. Why some people search for photo inspection and information about photo inspections is a common question among the various search engines such as Dogpile.com, Bing.com. and of course Google.

But here is some easy info regarding photo inspections in Middletown, NY near the city of Middletown zip code 10940. Simply visit your nearby insurance photo inspection location such as this one:

Carco Photo Inspection 10940
What exactly is a photo inspection you ask, or searched for? Well, its really not a big deal, basically you bring your insurance card or image provided by your insurance company (you cant drive your car without your insurance card present just in case you get stopped by an officer of the law), a pen, and your car suv or pickup truck to 178 Dolson Ave Middletown NY 10940 (845)343-6300 and at this local auto mechanic shop and discount tire center you fill in a basic form with your info and the options you have. You sign date and phone number the form.

Now, at no charge Dolson Auto & Tire finishes up the form and using a dedicated special 4g tablet connected through the Verizon private network your inspection is completed with about 4 pictures and uploaded through the secure cloud application directly to CARCO Insurance Inspection who processes it to your insurance carrier.

Now, a couple of things to know about us, we do photo inspections most all the time, from open to close 7 days a week and we don't take lunch breaks. However we may be closed due to winter weather.

But there are some things to remember - we don't control the inspection process, similar to NY State Inspections this is all done by computer and camera. We are just the processor. Since our app directly connects to the insurance company its not possible for us to "loose" it or incomplete it - if that happens its somewhere between the processor and the carrier. We give you a receipt so you have proof that it was done at such and such time and date. We also don't have a fax machine, we are all digital here.

Solutions to common inspection problems:
1. you dont have your insurance card: a. have your agent email the card to you
2. you get notice that the inspection was not done: a. you have the receipt we gave you proving it was done. Send this to your agent. Once we take the photos with the tablet that inspection was definitely done, unless they lost it or their application failed, but we dont control their network. The application does not get stored anywhere locally so we do not have access to it nor can we recall it. We would at this point simply retake the inspection.
3. your notice says they did not get the pictures: a. this means they lost the pictures, the quality was not good enough, or there was water, snow, or unwashed vehicle issues. If the car is not dry and smooth it will affect the acceptance of the pictures. If you are late getting your photo inspection its ok - we will do them in the rain and snow however you most likely will get a card asking you to return for a retake - at least you got the inspection done and you have a receipt to prove it. In these cases we have told the insurance company the condition but they dont you and want better photos.
4. Can you take pictures in rain/snow? a. We will accommodate you however any foreign material on the surface of the car from salt, dirt, mud, bugs, water spots, rain, and snow can look to an inspector like a paint problem or other things like hail damage. You really want a clean shiny dry car for these pictures, try to get it washed at your visit.

Is there a fee? a. No Dolson Auto & Tire does the inspection for free as a courtesy to our customers. We would like you to visit us if you ever need diagnostics, repairs, or maintenance service outside of your warranty period. We also have great prices on rebates

Fwd: Oil in Camry washer tank

Oil? What is this?

Sometimes dad's want to help out and they do a little work on mom's car. But its important to be very cautious about vehicle fluids. Here is why.

<script async src="//pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js"></script> <script> (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({ google_ad_client: "ca-pub-6178000753050891", enable_page_level_ads: true }); </script>
1. Contamination
Fluids are system specific. Contamination can occur for various reasons. Operator error in the case of the picture attached. Putting the wrong fluid in the wrong hole can cause problems. In this case its a pain to clean out the oil that was put in the washer bottle. Sometimes it can be worse. Common problems with many modern cars is when the automatic transmission cooler mounted in many radiators fail and the transmission oil gets pumped into the cooling system or the coolant gets pushed into the transmission system. Thats just one example of cross contamination. We also see this frequently when we repair head gaskets that leak coolant into the engine oiling system. Its important to perform vehicle maintenance on time.

2.Many seals, hoses, rubber parts and bearings require special fluids. Why? Because these specially designed oils are not just oil, they have additives, buffers, and in some cases oils are quite different. For example mineral based oils are very different than petroleum oils, which differ from synthetics, and are different than new classes of man made lubricants such as glycol based materials. Engineers choose a lube for many reasons, no just protecting the support systems in your car. Its a complicated matter, but choosing the correct specification fluid is something professionally trained techs know how to do.

3. The intended use. Some vehicles have special use cases. These may be trucks, towing, hi performance, and other reasons too numerous to list. But the reasons are heat, wear, dirt, and in some cases cold. Sometimes a lower viscosity fluid is better. Modern engines are turning to low viscosity fluids to save energy and they use special bearings and systems to support these types of bearings. Because they are built to such specific tolerances they need the thinner fluids and synthetics suggested.

The most important thing to remember is use the right fluid in the right application, change them on time or ahead of time, replace filters frequently at the mileage intervals or as suggested by your mechanic, and opt for high quality or the type your professional local mechanic suggests.
